The clients asked for a backyard that their active family could use. The whole family enjoys fun in the pool, summer cookouts, or a nice evening by the fire. Even when they are inside, the beautiful plantings and stonework highlight the view from their large back windows.
We set the elevated spa with a waterfall behind the pool and faced it with natural stone veneer . We continued this natural stone along a retaining wall that holds back the grade above the pool.. For the pool decking, we chose rectangular flagstone with a limestone border to match stone features in the sun room and on the house. A stone fire pit with limestone coping is situated close to the spa so the family could enjoy an evening fire and s’mores.
