The owners have a beautiful home on multiple acres where they also own a first-class equestrian center. They enjoy views of their idyllic surroundings as horses graze in the lush pastures. Fine Earth listened to the owners’ ideas, created a design, managed the swimming pool construction, and installed the remainder of this beautiful living area, including the grading, stone walls, steps, patio, waterfall, and plantings.
Our largest engineering challenge was a ten foot drop off from their back porch to the existing grade. We set the pool elevation below the first-floor elevation so that it felt connected to both the home and the surrounding pastures. The connecting steps and retaining wall are natural stone capped with thermal 2-inch flagstone.
The owners chose a gorgeous PebbleTec finish with blue tiling for their pool and natural cleft Pennsylvania flagstone with hidden drains for the pool deck. The design includes shrubs and perennial plantings with added annual plantings for an explosion of summer color.
